Frequently asked questions
Is digital equipment used?
Yes, we use professional digital cameras and edit digitally, therefore
no quality is lost throughout the whole production.
Will
the filming become intrusive? No,
we are very discreet and have developed a style of filming that
enables us to become almost unnoticed by the Bride, Groom and guests.
This enables us to capture the magical, fleeting moments, as well
as every important event during your special day. You will be surprised
at the detail contained in the finished film.
Will
the editing make a difference? Our
style of editing will greatly enhance the finished video. This is
the key to giving the raw footage a more emotional, enriched feel.
We always endeavour to produce an interesting, evocative film that
will involve everyone watching, even those that may not have attended
the wedding. Editing techniques are used to emphasise appropriate
scenes to evoke a resurgence of the heightened emotions of the day.
To further smooth the natural flow, any obvious ‘niggles’
are expertly removed – “umms” or hesitations in
the speeches, for example. Then music of your choice, and appropriate
other tracks are added to further enrich the experience.
When
will we receive the finished video?
The editing process is very time consuming and it depends on the
time of year. Our busiest time is between May and September. At
this time, we endeavour to deliver your videos within 3-5 weeks.
Out of season weddings should be 2-3 weeks.
Can
we see some more examples? Please
ring or email for a sample DVD.
How
far in advance should we book your services?
We are frequently booked over a year in advance, so please check
for our availability as soon as possible. The video company should
be booked around the same time as the photographer and cars etc.
Please note that a booking is not confirmed until we receive the
deposit and signed contract. A letter of confirmation will then
be sent to you.
Do you set shots up?
No. We use a documentary filming style and record events as they
happen. We work closely with the photographer who will set up the
shots. We refuse to do the ”Walk this way and.…. kiss
now” shot!
Why use a professional
videographer and not my uncle?
A professional wedding videographer will, through experience, know
and recognise special moments and details of your wedding day that
will make your video unforgettable. They will instinctively know
the exact time that the next important event of the day is about
to happen (the Bride arriving, confetti etc.) and position themselves
in the best position to capture this. Then add to this the stylish
editing, titling and tasteful special effects. Therefore, how could
your uncle possibly compete? After all, would you really want to
trust one of the biggest and most important days of your life to
the inexperience of your uncle! Many couples have been disappointed
and upset because his batteries went flat, or the pictures were
shaky and the sound was inaudible!
What areas do you cover? We offer
full UK and abroad coverage by negotiation.
Do
your DVDs have chapters and scene selection?
Yes. All or DVDs are authored and include chapters and thumbnailed
scene buttons.
